To Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα Ποδοσφαίρου 1992 ήταν η 9η διοργάνωση Ευρωπαϊκού πρωταθλήματος. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο Ευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα που πραγματοποιήθηκε μετά την πτώση του τείχους του Βερολίνου και την διάλυση του ανατολικού μπλοκ, γεγονότων που είχαν ως αποτέλεσμα την αλλαγή του Ευρωπαϊκού χάρτη. Συνέπεια των αλλαγών ήταν η συμμετοχή για πρώτη φορά της ενωμένης Γερμανίας και της Κοινοπολιτείας Ανεξαρτήτων Κρατών αλλά και ο αποκλεισμός της Γιουγκοσλαβίας. Η Γιουγκοσλαβία που είχε κερδίσει την συμμετοχή της στα τελικά της διοργάνωσης αποκλείστηκε λόγω του πολέμου που διεξαγόταν στην χώρα και την θέση της πήρε η Δανία που αποτέλεσε την μεγάλη έκπληξη της διοργάνωσης καθώς κατέκτησε το τρόπαιο νικώντας στον τελικό την Γερμανία με σκορ 2 - 0,. Διοργανώτρια χώρα ήταν η Σουηδία ενώ συμμετείχαν συνολικά οκτώ ομάδες.
